After reformatting and reinstalling XP I did not get to installing the PCMCIA
wireless network card and software. My daughter just put it in and or course
it did not work. Later I successfully installed the software. But XP did
not find the network card when I installed it (which comes after installing
the software). I also tried new hardware detection wizard and it did not
find it either. I seem to recall that Windows has a feature that turns off
the automatic detection of a device if it was not installed properly the
first time. The PC card slot does work as my adaptor for the camera works
fine. I also verified on another computer that the network card works. It
installed and accessed the wireless just fine. The question is, how do I get
Windows to recognize the card in the slot?
