Cannot delete.

Before I installed my McAfee anti virus, someone downloaded (and installed)
something from downloads.com on to my computer. Spy ware/Ad ware: TV Media is
now on my computer. When I try to delete it it says ' Acess is denied. Is
being used by another person ' I tried blocking it with my McAfee Firewall,
quarintined it, and cleaned it. Those all didn't work. I got the same
message. So, I decided to send the file in to the people at McAfee. They sent
me an EXTRA.DAT file. I gave up on figuring out what to do with that. Can
anyone help?

I am using a Vaio with Windows XP Home with SP2. My windows firewall is
turned off.
