Dan

Can somebody help me? Here is my situation:

I cannot delete, rename, and move a mp3 file. It seems
to act as a different file, but it still shows as a mp3
file. I try to play the file but it would not play it,
it attempts to play it but it says "it cannot locate the
file." I try overwriting the mp3 file with the exact
same mp3 file, but I get a "Error Move File or Folder"
and it says "File name you specified is not valid or too
long." I tried deleting it under safe mode, but it still
won't delete and it acts the same under regular mode.
Therefore, I am stuck with this troubled mp3 file and I
cannot do a system restore possibly because of this file.

Is the mp3 file corrupted??? Is there a way I can delete
this off my computer? Can somebody help me here? Please
reply and also e-mail me with a response if you have one.
Thanks.

Thanks for your help, but the Summary Tab/Advanced button
is not showing. I only see the General Tab and all of
the Attribute boxes are unchecked. Is there another way
of deleting this strange mp3 file??

Here what it says in the properties of the mp3 file, it's
very strange, it says the size is 0 bytes, size on disk 0
bytes, it does not say anything about the Created,
Modified, Accessed infos, and it does not say anything
about the Location. All it says is the Type of file:
Folder. That's all it says.

However, when highlighting the file and looking at the
Details on the left side pane of the window, it says the
title of mp3, size: 14 MB, and MP3 audio file.

I'm still stuck with this file.

Rightclick the file/properties/General tab and see if
the "read only" and "hidden" boxes are NOT checked.
Then click Symmary tab/Advanced button and change the
Protected line under Value to "NO"

i had the same problem but its a little diff. my comp is teliin me that the file has the wrong directory or file name and the wrong volume syntax and if i right click on it nuttin pops up somebody help me

Your file name / path is too long. Rename something along the way (directory name, file name) and you should be able to work with it again.
