I could really use some help here! I'm running windows server 2003.
About 10 of my users login through terminal services. The whole thing
works great except one of my users always gets an error that says his
profile cannot be loaded and is then thrown into a temp profile that
gets deleted at the end of his session. I figured his profile was
corrupt so I tried to delete it, I got an error back saying the
NTUSER.DAT could not be deleted because it's in use. The problem is
that it's not, at least terminal server says he is logged out. I can
delete the profile if I reboot the server but that's not usually an
option in the middle of that work day. Does anyone have any suggestions
as to how I can release that file?
