Hi,

Can anyone tell me how to delete an old NT4.0 BDC in OU Domain Controllers
in a Windows 2000 AD.
I don.'t want to upgrade this machine to Windows 2000, I just don't want to
use it anymore.
After that I can change the AD to 2000 native mode with the two remaining
2000 DC's.

I have try'd to delete in "AD Users and Computers" , but I get an error
message.

Anyone?

I'm suprised that it won't delete in ADUC, but you can install the Support
Tools from the win2k CD (support\tools\setup.exe) and then do
start\run\adsiedit.msc which will open an AD editor.
Expand the Domain NC\then <your domain>\then OU=Domain controllers and you
should be able to delete it here (cn=machinename).

If you have a problem, post the error you're getting trying to delete it
through ADUC.
