I haven't tried this, but could you close WinMail and got to
C:\Users\(yourlogin)\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Mail\Local
Folders\Inbox
and delete the message?
You might want to move all other messages out of the inbox first, so you
don't delete the wrong one.
That unfortunately won't work. The database insists there is a message
there and there isn't and it won't remove it anyway. Its a screwup in the
database.
I've tried several things as well to no avail. I have hundreds of emails in
my deleted items folder that I cant remove. I tried deleting them from the
folder itself. Now, the headers show in windows mail. I can't see the bodies
any more.
Looking on the humorous side, the message stuck in my inbox is a Cialis
spam. Is somebody trying to tell me something ? - IM
ps: With the help of y'all, I've worked my way through a bunch of problems
with Vista. It's running very nicely now, and I've gotten used to some of
the things that I complained about. Turns out they are improvements. Change
can be frustrating, can't it!
The only thing that we can confirm is that antivirus software set to scan
email can mess things up such as this. I'd not worry about it too much, but
if its really bothering you, we've posted ways to wipe things out completely
so you can start over fresh.
