Cannot delete from Deleted

Can anyone please give me some advice on this one?
I have Vista and using Windows Mail but all of a sudden it won't let me
delete emails out of delete files, really weird, I can't even delete the
folder and start again.

The best fix is to replace Windows Mail with Windows Live Mail:

Thanks Gary, but the lady concerned doesn't want Live Mail and this is why
I'm trying to find a solution for her.

Any further suggestions anyone?

Many people are confused by what is misnomered "Live Mail",
thinking it is some hyped version of Hotmail.
Windows Live Mail is actually a standard POP mail client and
news reader, same as Windows Mail, with the additional capability
of accessing Hotmail.

There are no official fixes for Windows Mail. The unofficial 'fixes'
often have undesirable side effects. It is not known when, if ever,
Microsoft will release official fixes.

Microsoft has stated that Windows Live Mail is to be the replacement
for Windows Mail.

The only other viable options are switching to Outlook or Thunderbird.

Gary and Shawn,

Thank you for your information, it is appreciated and I have forwarded it on
to the person concerned.

I, amongst many others was of the opinion that Windows mail was basically an
extension of Hotmail so we were wary of it.

I haven't made the move to Vista yet but it will happen, I've been delaying
it more so on the bad reports that I've seen, of course we don't seem to get
the good ones do we?
