cannot delete emails

When I try to delete an email, I get an error message "messaging
interface has returned an unknown error". I have restarted Outlook and
rebooted. Any thoughts?

Will it delete if you hold down Shift when deleteing?
 
I'm not able to tell. I started to get an error when I opened the .pst,
so I created a new .pst and imported the old one. Everything is fine
now. I now realize, from reading old posts, that this was not the
wisest chice of action.
