Mike

I am having trouble deleting items from my outlook xp
calendar.
the items are primarily holidays and i have duplicate
entries. when i try to delete them outlook displays the
message:
"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If
the problem persists please restart outlook".

restarting does not clear the problem

any help is appreciated

Try running the "Detect and Repair" option on the Outlook
HELP menu.

If this does not help, try clearing the forms cache.

If you close outlook
Perform a FIND (click on desktop and press <F3>)
(If you are using XP or W2K operating system be
sure to look in hidden files)
Look for FRMCACHE.DAT file.
Delete it from the find window.
Restart Outlook.

When you restart Outlook it will rebuild a fresh new
FRMCACHE.DAT file.

Try using the ADVANCED FIND to pull these holidays
into the Advanced find window. Once they are in the
Advanced Find Window, try using the
<Shift>+<Delete> key to remove them.

If they are not found in the ADVANCED FIND (F3)
you may want to look for "Any type of Outlook Item"
in the "Calendar" folder criteria. then again try using the
<Shift>+<Delete> key to remove them.
