cannot delete a folder

I wonted to upload some pictures and so I copied them in a new folder on
desktop. Now when I try to delete the folder I get "destination folder access
denied. you need to confirm this operation" and when I click on continue I
get the same message , but with retry, and I keep clicking on retry and
nothing dif happens. I've also tried deleting the pictures first but I get
the same thing.
I have admin rights.
 
For some weird reason I was able to delete the folder after restarting..
I had the problem only with that specific folder..
