Cannot Create new unicode Outlook Data File

My Exchange server is unicode. I tried to create a Unicode Personal File
folder. The default (only) in the format field is "Personal Folders file
(97-2002)." I don't know what to do about that.

I have Outlook 2003 (11.5359.6350) SP1. I used Tools --> E-Mail accounts -->
View or change existing e-mail accounts -->Next --> Change --> More settings
--> Advanced to look at Mailbox Mode to see that Outlook is running in
unicode mode against Exhange server.

What version of Exchange Server? The presence or lack of a checkmark in the
"Use Cached Exchange Mode" has no effect if the Exchange Server doesn't
support it. We have Exchange 5.5 here and checking that box has no effect
at all because Exchange 5.5 doesn't support Unicode.
