Cannot create link between unbound forms

I am trying to build a form with multiple subforms. The
subforms are each on seperate tabs. The first sub is fine
but for each additional subform I add I get the error
message "Cannot create link between unbound forms" when I
try to build the link. What am I doing wrong?
