Ok, with the subweb open in FP, enter
http://www.yourdomainname.com/subwebname

Tried this and took too long so what I ended up doing is deleting the pages
on the server and was able then to publish the pages. Thanks Thomas for your
help....

Publishing is the proper way to work with a web that is hosted on a FP
enable server.

I can't publish my web. I keep getting the message: You cannot copy the frontpage web to itself. What do I need to fix or change to allow my site to be published?

Thanks for the quick reply. I don't believe that I am working live. I clicked on the edit page using frontpage and made my changes. Then I tried to publish and I got that response (can't publish to itself). I tried to change a different page and the change did not appear on my website. So I am not live. What else could it be?

I apologize. I am working on my live website. How do I make changes and publish so that it isn't live?

Amy: Open the web live, publish the complete site to your hard drive in the
My Webs folder, then you can open the local (My Webs) site, make changes and
then publish to the live (internet) site.

Clicked on what "edit page", the one in your IE browser? Did it open your
site and request a password? You made changes and saved? This would be
your live online web. Once it's saved, it's done. You don't publish a web
to itself.

If the changes didn't show up, did you refresh your browser? Clear the temp
internet files?
