cannot contact a domain controller

Hi there,
We installed/ghosted an XP laptop on an NT4 domain but when moving it to
another remote NT4 domain it cannot contact the domain controller to add it
to the NT4 remote domain.
Any ideas? Thanks, Calin

Turn off the PC-based firewall while doing your tests.
If this makes no difference, post a reasonable amount
of details, e.g. the output from ipconfig /all from the
problem machine and from some other machine.

Thanks. Ipconfig output is irrelevant, it has the right IP, winds, dns,
mask.
Problem is with the secure communication channel between NT4 DC and XP
client and maybe with security ID of the machine since it was ghosted on
another domain, moved to workgroup, next attempted to be moved to the new
domain. Is there any (hidden) files re. the above I can delete so it is
accepted unto the new domain? Thanks a lot, Calin
