I use uko2.co.uk for Web Emails but cannot connect to their web mail
page or even fire up their web site. Anything with UKO2 fails to do
anything. All my other web sites fire up no problem. I have tried
turning off the firewall and also Norton Antivirus but the result is
always the same. This suddenly started as I have used them for over
two years.
Any help would be most welcome!

They appear to be your ISP as well?
This is Google's cache of the URL, call them and request local support.
It may be an issue with your account and nothing more.

Hi,
I have been in contact with UKO2 and they tell me that everything is
fine their end. I have asked a friend to see if his machine connects
- It does - no problem.
I have tried using Opera, IE6 and Firefox with the same results. The
message I get is on a white page stating -
Could not locate remote server. You tried to access the address
http://www.uko2.co.uk/, which is currently unavailable. Please make
sure that the Web address (URL) is correctly spelled and punctuated,
then try reloading the page.
Make sure your Internet connection is active and check whether other
applications that rely on the same connection are working.
Check that the setup of any Internet security software is correct and
does not interfere with ordinary Web browsing.
If you are behind a firewall on a Local Area Network and think this may
be causing problems, talk to your systems administrator.
Try pressing the F12 key on your keyboard and disabling proxy servers,
unless you know that you are required to use a proxy to connect to the
Internet. Reload the page.
I am at a loss as what the problem is and so are UKO2.
Any help would be most welcome.

All working correctly now... I tried all sorts but in the end a friend
suggested I went to internet options and deleted cookies, files and
history. I thought this was a bit too easy and I would be wasting my
time - BUT.

After about half an hour I was unable to connect once again. I tried
various things but in desperation I have ditched UKO2 and signed up to
another ISP. This is working perfectly. Thank you all for your
help.

That's a disappointment to hear, though if the original ISP was not able to
help you and we were not, it would seem that the choice you made was a
reasonable one.

Good luck and feel free to post back if you continue to have trouble.
