New User

Hello:

I have two XP Pro workstation with SP2 installed.

WS01 - hasn't join into Domain
WS02- Already Join into Domain

When a Domain user try to access the share folder \\WS01\temp it got the
Access is Denied.

I have enable the guest, clear simple file sharing and give everyone
read but also fail.

Would you mind to kindly give me some hints?

Thanks!

Hi New User! Here are a

some hints, let me know if tese help!

- Is the partition NTFS formatted? The effective permissions are the
more restrictive between the share and the NTFS permission.

- Is the guest user enabled in WS01?

- Is Guest logging on without a password? This could block access to
resources from the network.

- Is File and Printer sharing exception enabled on windows Firewall as
an exception?

That's all for now
Bye

MD

You need to have a local user account on WS01 that matches the
logon/password of the domain user that is trying to access the share. When
prompted for credentials it may also help to enter WSO1\username instead of
just username. --- Steve
