cannot connect to https sites

URGENT !!

Everytime I try to access a https site I get the error
message "The page cannot be displayed".

I am running XP SP1 with all security updates applied.

of the web-sites that I used to logon to send me a message
saying send an error report. I sent aabout 300 of these
message's but I didn't get any reply
