I'm experiencing the same, except both screens are set as 800 x 600.
If one TS session is in full screen mode and the other in 'ordinary
windowed mode' - would this cause us the same problem?

OR would it matter if one display was 'true color' and one as 'high
color'?

Well, I haven't personally tried every combination of different
settings on both clients, but in general: yes, different session
settings can also cause this problem. You might want to do some
testing on your clients. I seem to recall that the screen that
does the shadowing must have a similar or higher resolution than
the client being shadowed, and you can't shadow a full screen
session in a windowed session.

Hi,

I have the same issue. It seems to only happen if I
don't log in within 24 hours of disconnecting. If I log
in within 24 hours of a disconnect, I am fine. Using the
EXACT SAME PC I get this "video mode" error if I log in
after the 24 hours. I don't understand how my video mode
is causing an issue, if it works fine otherwise (within
the 24)?

"I have the same issue" seems not entirely the case. The original
post was about shadowing another users session. You seem to be
talking about reconnecting to your own disconnected session, is
that correct?
Have you checked if there is a time-out limit set (probably a 24
hour limit) on disconnected sessions?

Hi

I appologize, it was a long day. I did not see the shadowing issue in the original thread. I will check for the timeout right now. Could that possibly cause the Video Mode error? It has been a very frustrating time for us, as we cannot get around this issue. I can connect and create session with (for discussion sake, "laptop 1"). I do not change anything on laptop 1. I can get back in the same session. If I do not re-connect within the 24 hour period, I get the "incompatible video mode" error. This of course is using the same laptop. I have full control over both the server, and the laptop, and both were locked in a casing unit (They have not been altered at all). I can create a new session (since I cannot get into the original one). I can then disconnect. Upon trying to re-connect, I get a choice of which session I would like to jump to. Both are 800x600, and both are 256. The original will give me the "video mode error", the other does not. The only difference is I have not been in the original for more than 24 hours.
