I have a DSL connection that I cannot get a coonection to.
I line is perfect working order. I have a wireless router
hooked to another computer in the home that works fine. I
get a signal on wireless card but no connection to the
web. I tried an ipconfig/all in the command prompt. And it
says it does not recognize the command. I tried a
ipconfig /new and it times out and does nothing. It was
working fine the day before. Don't if a lighting strom we
had that night had any effect on it.

Thanks,
Joaquin

For XP, you can't uninstall TCP/IP (Uninstall is grayed out). You will use
the Windows XP command line utility netsh.exe to reset all IP-related
Registry settings to their default values. To do that, enter the command:
netsh int ip reset filename, for example, netsh int ip reset ipreset.t.xt.
