I can't copy pictures to a cd at all. Each time I try I get the error
message...Cannot complete the cd writing wizard. There was an error in the
writing process. The disc you have attempted to write may no longer be
usable. I then try with another blank cd and get the same error message
everytime. It doesn't tell me what the error was, just that there was an
error. I have put pictures on cd's many times without any problem. I have
tried all the troubleshooting things, etc. I have no trouble burning music to
a cd.
Thanks for any help.

You may want to test by deleting all the temp files in C:\Windows\Temp\
And also in XP at the %your name%\Temp\

And reboot after each procedure.
When was the last time you used Windows Updates?

When have you DL'ed the latest drivers from the hardware vendor?

I have had this same problem since July. I went throught all suggestions
and the forum to no avail. I'm using Xp SP2. It's very frustrated . I can
use other Burning softwares but CD Writing Wizard is simple to use for
simple files and pictures. I wish some one in Microsoft would look into
this. Thanks for letting me air out. John

I don't know if this will help you or not. I had somehow stumbled onto a
solution of my problem. Go to the property of the CD/DVD burning drive:
(1)click AUTO PLAY TAB; (2)SELECT BLANK CD; (3) Put a check on "PROMPT ME
EACH TIME TO CLOSE AN ACTION" at the bottom of that PROPERTY popup screen.
and Click " OK". After I did this I was able to use CD writing wizard again.

Does anyone have an answer for this??? I get the same thing, here is the
error code:
Sense: 03 ASC: 0C ASCQ: 00 (Command 2A)
-------------------------------------------------------
px.dll: 1.1.0.424
pxdrv.dll: 1.0.43.0
pxmas.dll: 1.5.0.132
pxwave.dll: 1.2.0.94
pxwma.dll: 1.0.0.3

Interesting thing is several months ago it worked fine. While trying to copy
some files with a new pack of disc I started getting the error message. I had
some old disc and thought I would try them. I copied to 10 disc all old maybe
a year old. I tried 4 new packs and a of them give me the error code. Even if
I switched back and forth new / old.... The old disc worked fine, new ones
error writing to disc. Tried different brands, no luck.

Please advise

I have tried a lot of fixes, all to no avail. In talking with friends, we
think it might be a problem with one of the "Windows updates". Does anyone
know of an "update to fix the update"?

I also have the same problem. I could burn cd's fine one week ago, then all
of a sudden, "CANNOT COMPLETE CD WRITING WIZARD." Tried contacting microsoft,
but they have yet to return the calls. any help would be greatly appreciated.
