Cannot clear user name drop-down

Similar problem to another poster below. I cannot clear past user email
addresses from the drop-down box that suggests user names that, I assume,
must have been captured by auto complete. I have gone into auto complete in
internet options many times and tried clearing history, but it does not
delete these.

I've read the article on auto complete and it seems to provide only the
options of clearing history or clicking on the offending name and hitting
delete. Neither works.

How do I get rid of these things???

Try searching for the offending e-mail address in the registry - you should
find a couple of entrie (It's also how malware can find your e-mail adress's
) - Msoft should really put these into a locked file of somesort, not just
blatantly in the registry!

Call me a grannie....but I don't know how to search the registry....can you
give me a set of simple instructions?

click start, select run and type in:
control userpasswords2
Select Advanced Tab
Select "Managed Passwords"
Remove the ones you don't want.
