Hello,
We have one 2000 pro client on a AD directory that has the
wrong setting in DNS that did not come from our DNS
server. Command prompt command with ipconfig do not flush
or clear these settings. A wrong DNS setting was input not
from DHCP. We checked for a virus online.....Any ideas
would be great.
Thanks in advance.
Rod

This sounds like the IE virus/trojan that changes your DNS when DHCP is
enabled. I don't remember the name of this one though....... Is this machine
set with manual DNS?

Hi,
The PC uses DHCP , but I found a rouge DNS entry on it.We
found a host file in \winnt\help that was causing the
problem. The problem is gone for now. Thanks
