cannot change wallpaper

this is a very small problem. I cannot change the wallpaper for my desktop, i
have tried every option in windows. I am just trying to use the default
windows pictures. When you go to change the wallpaper it looks like its going
to work but it doesn't change. I made sure the all hardware is using a
current vista beta 3 drivers. That is the only problem that im having which
is very small, its just bugging me that I cannot find a answer to this
problem. If anyone has any solutions I would appreciate it thanks
