Dear ,
On my Win2k server(Active directory) I can not change the IP address of the
machine. the TCP/IP properties button is dimmed.
Also the uninstall button is grayed out when I select TCP/IP from the
connection components.

Is there any work around or way to fix this situation?

Tamer,

Is it set up to be a DHCP Client or is it configured to be given a static IP
Address manually? Or is it set up with a reservation. I am just thinking
outloud?

And please excuse this next question: you are sure that you are looking at
the DC and not something else?

HTH,

Cary

Dear Cary,

Its a DC and it was assigned the a static IP manaually (does not use
DHCP)
and yes I have administrative rights on the machine. I think this happned on
two servers in my company after they were infected by Blaster and Welcha and
then cleaned.
