I am unable to change my background to any pictures that I have stored. I
was able to do so before I added a spyware program and cannot now. The
spyware program has been removed and when I go to change my background I am
unable to do so. THe only thing I can choose is the NONE.

I did try and follow the instructions that were provided to another post
dated 9/16/2006 but I was unable to do so as I received and error message
that stated " C:\WINDOWS|system32\Regedit.com
The NTVDM CPU has encountered and illegal instruction

then the choice to close or ignore when I hit Ignore the error message just
keeps coming up and I can go no further.

I would really like the ability to change my background as the blue screen
is getting annoying.

Right-click on the desktop and choose Properties. Select the Desktop tab
and click the Browse button. Navigate to the file you wish to use.
Select the file with your mouse and click on the Open button (or just
double-click the file.) Presto!
