Hi,
I have a remote server setup to accept incomming VPNs and
it has the "Allow callers to access my local area network"
box ticked but after the VPN is establised I can only
access the remote server and not the rest of the network.
Any help would be appreciated.

This is due to the way the default gateway was set on your VPN
connection. Take a look at the following Technet articles that
describe why this happens and how to bypass this.
