Cannot boot system

computer just decided not to boot , it starts up going into boot mode(ya know black screen all the tech info) when it get to the point to run Win (xp) it restarts. It just keeps looping itself trying to boot , that happens about 90% of time the other 10% i get a missing Ntdrl file or something like that i only saw it a few times and it stops... any help would be great

Try this:

Boot from your XP CD:
and enter the recovery console and type
BootCfg /Rebuild

Justin: You could have a hard drive problem. Call your
computer manufacturer for help on this. I have a Dell &
their support group is very helpful
 
Justin - I have the same problem - it started on the 27th of Dec. - A buddy
of mine thinks its either a vid card problem or virus - I can't confirm
either - There's another post from yesterday from someone named "stuck" -
kind of strange this is the 3rd post on this problem in 2 days - if I find
anything out I'll post a reply -- Lan in NE

I also have this problem - i can view the hard drive in dos but cannot start XP or re-install xp as it says i need to format my hard drive first (which i don't want to do) It started a couple of days ago with xp freezing and then just went into a reboot loo

any suggestions would be appreciated
