Hi,

We have a Dell Optiplex that's been upgraded to Windows
2000. I do not have any of the CDs unfortunately and we
are now experiencing a main hard drive failure. We can't
boot the PC, pressing F8 does not bring it up in safe mode.

Can any of you gurus tell me how I can boot this thing up,
or where I can find/download a system recovery cd/disk?

Pease respond directly to (e-mail address removed)

Thanks,
Peter

If the drive has failed you'll simply need to reinstall the operating system
after you have replaced the failed hardware.

Pete - that's not nearly enough useful info. What does "main hard drive
failure" mean? Depending on the answer you may have an easy fix or a
piece of dead metal.
