Cannot add printer

I have 2 Xerox printers added sucessfully but when I try
and add ANY another printer I get right to the finish and
then get an error "Printer driver was not installed.
Operation could not be completed." no matter what printer
or port I select. I have added SP3 again and stop/started
the spooler service but still no joy. Help please

Try to set the old printers to another port ( other than LPT1?) and
try to install the new printer again.

Some of the GDI printers doesn`t like that other printers are
installed on the same port.
