When I try adding fonts (CONTROL PANEL > FONTS > ADD
FONTS), I get an error on every font I am trying to load:

Font is currently being used and cannot be replaced. Wait
until Windows is finished using the file and try again.

I have no programs open. I have just started the
machine. Any ideas??

Thanks in advance!

Hi Dalton,

If you have the new fonts in Windows Explorer, try drag & drop into the fonts folder, one at a
time. Let us know if that method works or not

Well, I gave it a try and whether one by one dragging, all-
at-once dragging or using the ADD FONT 'wizard'.....I
still get the same errors.

Whats next!? Thanks again!

Well Dalton,

Try taking one of the fonts that installed now out of the folder. If that works, boot and try
to install it again via d&d again.
If it doesn't, Put you Windows 2000 install CD in the tray and cold boot. Boot to the BIOS and
change the boot order to CD first. Power down. Boot via the CD and choose to install, and when
prompted, choose Repair. After it runs, take the CD out, let's cold boot back up and see if
you can install one font by d&d. If it doesn't work, we gonna need a priest. No, Not really.
Just come back. BTW, where did you get the fonts and from what type machine, and what media
i.e. Floppy. If it was a floppy, how was it formatted. NTFS is finicky about formatting its
floppies. Anyway, hope it works for you.
