I am trying to access a Windows 2000 server from a Windows 2003
server.
In Active Directory Domains and Trusts, I am trying to set the
trusts between the two but a pre-existing trust is preventing
me. I want trust Headoffice domain from SMDirect domain. I am
trying to set a trust on SMDirect saying HeadOffice but it says
cannot establish a trust because the trust is not set up on
Headoffice server. But on HeadOffice it says the trust is
already established and to seems to be pointing to
SMDirect.HeadOffice.Local which I can do nothing with on
HeadOffice - it wont let me make any changes or delete.
I think this might be something to do with an autotrust set when
the child domain was created by my predecessor.
All I want to do is to access either domain from the other but
Catch 22 pertains.
