Cannot add assembly to the GAC althogh I'm administrator

Hi
have restarted my server and now I can't do nothing with the GAC.
Also many of my application which uses assemblies in the GAC have
crashed, saying the assemblies cannot be found.

when I try to add assembly to the GAC it tell me that I do not have
enough rights in order to add assemblies.
Just to make things clearer, I'm administrator on that server, and
until that restart, I had no problem inserting or removing assemblies
from the GAC.

If anyone have any idea what can cause all this mess please tell me,
beacuse I have now idea what to do next

Being Administrator doesn't necessarily mean you can access the file
system all over. E.g. Did you join a Domain? Did you add quota or
something else? Also did you check your rights on the file system
"C:\windows\assembly"?
