Cannot access.

Hi.

Without any apparent reason, Outlook 97 no longer works. When attempting to
launch, I get the dreaded "....has encountered a problem and needs to
close." notice.

Any suggestions anyone, before I have to reinstall?

I'd try a new profile before reinstalling.

I lost patience and reinstalled Office 97 and all is fine. I'll remember
your advice for next time, however. Let's hope there is no next time, tho'.
