Cannot access update driver button on control panel/display

When attempting to update my O/S with a new driver for my
Compaq MV720 color monitor, the "update driver" button is
grayed out when I go to Control Panel > Display > Advanced

Please advise what I need to do to update my system.

I have seen a post elsewhere stating drivers were only available for
win95/98 otherwise it used default drivers for win2k/xp

To upgrade your drivers, you must be logged on as Administrator.
