Hi

I don't know whether this is right group to put my
question to. I did not find Server2000.general.

Hope someone would help.

When I click on Event Viewer, I receive this
message: "Disk is full".

Any thoughts please ?

Thanks

I assume you mean to also say that the boot drive
is in fact not full ? If this is on a machine that can
be rebooted, does this happen if tried immediately
after a fresh boot?

Hi,

Thank you for posting.

This issue can occur if you system partition is full or the event log files
on the computer is corrupt.
Please try the following steps to check the issue on the computer:
1. Delete temporary files on the system boot partition.
Uninstall some applications and reinstall them to another partition to free
more disk space on the system boot partition.

2.
a. Click "start" => click "run" => enter "services.msc"
b. Set the start type of "Event log" to disabled.
c. Restart the computer. Move the event files (SysEvent.evt, AppEvent.evt
and SecEvent.evt to another drive). They are located in the
C:\winnt\system32\config)
d. Chage the f "Event log" to automatically again and restart computer and
check how things go.

3. If the issue persists, please take a look at the following URL to move
the event log files to another drive:

2000

Hope the above information helps. Have a nice day!

Hi Lee and thanks a lot for this help.

I am not quite clear on your advice to delete temporary
files on the system boot partition. Frankly, I do not
know where do I have to go to do it. Please advise on
this.

Many thanks.

By delete temporary files on the system partition
what is meant is to free up some space by removing
unnecessary files. This is the action to take if the
issue is because the disk is in fact full.

Hi,

Just as Roger had mentioned, we should remove the unnecessary files on the
system partition.
The system partition is the partition where you install the Windows on.
You can uninstall the not necessary application which is located on the
system partition to free more disk space.
Have a nice day!
