Cannot access some sites completely

I cannot access certain websites completely with 6.0. I
can get to the site but then certain features are not
available for me to select. In one case I cannot see
anything on the site page.

No messages of any kind? I have a downloaded hosts file to avert
various spyware, and many sites have areas saying "action cancelled".
