Any page that requires a password (web email, subscription
sites, etc) gives me the message below. I also experienced
the same hijacked home page which became some search site.
I followed the advice on this page and used "Search and
Destroy" and "SPGuard" (thanks to the people who posted
these suggestions). I now have my homepage locked (however
I suspect this is a workaround that locks it rather than
having gotten rid of the offending code), but still have
this password access problem. Message below, any help
appreciated.

You obviously know a lot more about computers than I do,
but your new problem sounds like the one I had & that a
number of others have posted - not being able to access
secure sites.

For me the cause was that my IE cipher strength was at 0
bits instead of 128. If you already know that yours =
128, stop here.

If you're not sure, check by opening IE, Help, About. It
will tell you. If = 0, you need to update to 128. You
don't say which OS you have. The MS download center has
an assortment of 128 bit security downloads for various
Os & versions of IE + a more generic offering of the
latest version. If you have XP, probably none of these
will work for you. (They'll download, sure, but will
they install?) For me the solution was the installation
of XP Service Pack 1a. If all of this applies to you but
you already have SP1a or SP1 (MS advises against
installing 1a if you already have 1)then...?
