Hi. I have a Win2000 server (a member server)that is part
of a domain with an AD. I have numerous shared folders. I
have one Accounts folder that I have shared for the
accounts group and Domain Admin. When logged in as an
Accounts user or the Domain administrator I receive an
access denied error. I can use the same login credentials
using a Mac and access the Accounts folder no problem at
all.

Any ideas anyone?

Paul,

I would make sure that both the Share and NTFS permissions are 1) in order
and 2) that there is no explicit DENY set to any group.

How do you share folders? Do you simply keep the Share permissions at the
default ( everyone = F/C ) and then add group in question ( in your example
the Accounts group and Domain Admins group ) in the NTFS ( Security ) Tab?
Since you have done this have you logged off and then back on? I assume
that you are logging on to a WIN2000 workstation and not the File Server
directly.

HTH,

Cary
