I am using a laptop connected to a home network between this and the main PC.
Both run on Windows XP.
A few days ago, somehow the Outlook prog. was deleted and all i had left was
shortcuts going to nowhere.
So i tried, firstly to repair the first installed Outlook, but when i tried
to open Outlook afterwards an error message saying
'Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. The .DLL file for the information service
could not be found. MAPI was unable to load the information service
PSTPRX.DLL. Be sure the service is correctly installed and configured.'
And if i tried to open it through my e-mail shortcut, it would say
'Unable to open your default e-mail folders. The .DLL file for the
infor......blah, blah, blah.' And if you hit OK, another error msg. pops up
saying 'Would you like to open your default File System folder instead?'
If Yes, it would open the folder in the Outlook window but if i tried to go
into my inbox the same msg. about the .DLL files is shown. If you hit No, it
would close the prog. completely.
So i then tried uninstalling Outlook and then reinstalling it, but the same
msg, comes up time after time.
I would be grateful if anyone could help me to solve this problem as i did
use Outlook a lot before this happened.
I thank anyone, in advance, who takes the time to help.
