Hi,
i have recently been looking at a pc using windows xp home sp2, bt yahoo
broadband 2mb service and a BT speedtouch 330 usb modem, the problem is the
following, the user cannot access one particular domain from his pc, the
domain in question being www.fluor.com , i can access this domain from any
other pc i have tried, and also accessed it when i plugged the users pc into
my internet connection.
i have reinstalled and reformatted pc , cleaned spyware , changed mtu
settings for lan adapters, disabled xp firewall, removed ms patch ms05-019
used different browsers, changed ie security settings but still i cannot
access the fluor domain through his internet connection with bt.
im thinking now that maybe fluor (the company he works for) might have
barred his ip address range from bt
he has sp2 running and was able to get to the website until recently which
makes me think that one of the latest ms patches could be to blame for
cocking things up, anyway removing ms05-019 didnt work maybe i should try
removing some more patches that are recent.
i hope someone can help with this, any ideas?
