Cannot access nonsecure sites

I am unable to access nonsecure sites using IE running on
Windows ME. Secure site load fine so the Internet
connection is fine (Mozilla and Netscape can access all
sites). Uninstalling IE did not help. The problem started
shortly after I installed Norton Internet Security 2004
(which is currently uninstalled).
 
Temporarily disable Norton Security. One of its settings is likely blocking
the sites. If the problem goes away, go to Norton preference or option menu
and look for setting for blocking site and disable it.
