This is one of the errors I am getting in the event log

The redirector was unable to initialize security context or query context
attributes.

The second one is this.

Windows cannot determine the user or computer name. Return value
(-2146893022).

When I try to remap a share or access a shared resource from the server it
gives me a Logon Failure: The target account name is incorrect.

I cannot get to any other server from this server using a names share. I
must map it using an IP. All the other servers and workstations are working
correctlly. I can access the shared resources on this server witout any
problems.

I can go out but no one can come in using named resolutions.

This is a DC W2000 SP4 but he is also an Terminal Server on a Win 2k
network. The file and exchange server are SBS2000. The SBS is the principal
DC and the only one running DNS.

I have tried demoting but I can't because it wont recognize my password and
username wich I am using to log on and off. I am using the standard
passpwords. I cannot manage any AD functions from this server either due to
validation errors.

Help.

this server was renamed prior to it becoming a dc

This is almost always misconfigured DNS settings on the server. Make
sure it uses ONLY the AD DNS server as its resolver. If you can't
connect to \\computername, check that your WINS is set up correctly.
