Gentlemen,
I have a network set up consisting of an XP Pro box and
a 2003 Server. They are both in a workgroup called Home. I
can ping each one from the other. From the XP box - I go
to my computer,my network places, view workgroup
computers ... I get the message," Home is not accessible.
You might not have permission to use this network
resource. Contact the administrator .... The network name
cannot be found". On the 2003 box I go to my computer,my
network places,Microsoft Windows Network, Home ... and I
get the same message as above.
I can manually map the XP drives from the 2003 box. I can
manually map the 2003 drives from the XP box. Why is it
that each box can reach the other as stated above but
neither can access/browse the network (i.e. the
workgroup "Home" that they both belong to)?????
