(I ran a scan to verify the intergriety of the windows xp files and they
where all intact.)
Have xp set up as administrator...everything was working fine till now, now
when I go into the control panel to add hardware or add or delete software
it give me this error:
"Windows cannot access the specified device path or file, you may not have
appropriate permssions to access the item"
Most of the control panel icons now have me locked out with the exception of
a few.
I have kept uptodate with the xp updates and recently double check and have
the latest xp updates.
Scanned for bots spys etc using the latest spybot and adaware. No virsus
detected either.
How do I restore the paths or permessions?
Thanks
