I've WinXP installed on my Labtop & 1 users with Administrative Rights. This
user is working fine. Now I created 1 more user for my wife with Admin
Rights. In this user, when I try to login to Hotmail, after the username,
password screen, the next page is blank, nothing comes on the page. Even if I
open http://www.google.com, (it opens), but if I put any word in the search &
press enter, nothing happens on pressing the search button, the page just
stays there.

After this I again logged in my user, & everything is working fine & back to
my wife's account, still nothing is working.

Please tell me what could be the reason and how to resolve this.

Hi,
Probably won't help, but first try...
Internet Options> Programs> Reset Web Settings. This may also be under IE>
Tools> Reset Web Settings.

Next...
It's likely that another program is causing this- possibly legitimate-
possibly malware. A BHO, add-on or third-party program can affect only one
user account.

[XP SP2] From IE> Tools> Manage add-ons. Disable non-microsoft add-ons to
see if one of them is the culprit.
[Non SP2] Internet Options> Advanced> uncheck "Enable third-party browser
extensions." If either of these helps, you still need to find the
troublesome program. BHO or add-on.
ToolbarCop from http://windowsxp.mvps.org/toolbarcop.htm will help identify
and remove add-ons.

Disable (for diagnostic purposes) programs such as pop-up blockers,
security, toolbars and other add-ons for IE, anti-virus, etc. Take a look at
any program that might be interfering with IE. You may have to reconfigure,
reinstall, or not reinstall, a program. Turn on the Windows Firewall (from
Control Panel or Security Center) before disabling a third-party firewall.
