cannot access IE - Keeps saying cannot find server/DNS

I have had this problem for some time now. I have
installed and reinstalled IE6. I have also restored my pc
(XP) to a previous date and then reinstalled IE6. When I
shutdown my PC and restart I still have no IE6.
