John

I have four computers networked, all are running XP.
My "server" is running XP pro, and all others are XP home
version. All networked computers can read all shared
files from all others. No problem with internet access.
My "server", however, cannot access any files on any
other computers. Wheneber I try, I get an error message
statinig that I may not have permission from the
administrator, but I AM the administrator.

HELP Please

Sounds like you might not be using "simple file sharing" on your server (but
I really don't know). To check what type of file sharing you're using in
WinXP Pro go to Start/Control Panel/Folder Options. Click the "View" tab
and under "Advanced settings" take a look at the "Use simple file sharing"
radio button.
