When I attempt to open the Clip Organizer via "Insert>Movies and Sounds>Movie from Clip Organizer" or "Insert>Movies and Sounds>Sound from Clip Organizer," it automatically opens my AOL program and attempts to sign on. Furthermore, upon closing the AOL system, it reopens the software and continues to attempt to sign on. PowerPoint continues to keep to keep the AOL program open until I use the "End Task" feature of the Task Manger to force PowerPoint to close. (This same problem occurs when I open "Format>Bullets and Numbering>Picture.")

Give this a try:

On the main menubar, click Help then click Customer Feedback Options
Yes. I know that makes no sense. Trust me. ;-)

In the Service Options screen that opens, click Online Content.
Remove the check next to "Show content and links from Microsoft Office Online"
Click OK then quit and restart PowerPoint.

Does that make it behave?

Hello,

In the Clip Art task pane, have you "unchecked" the "Web Collections"
option in the "Search in:" drop-down list?
