Cannot access certain web sites

I have re-installed Internet Explorer 6.0 with the latest
service pack. The operating system is Windows XP which
came with the computer. I can get online, but cannot
access certain random sites and get the "Page cannot be
displayed error?

It seems certain files may be corrupted, but I just
downloaded IE6.0. Any suggestions?

Thanks.

To resolve the issue you have to delete temporary
internet files and cookies also you have to lower down
security level and delete host files from your computer.

Here are the steps to delete temporary internet files and
cookies:-->

1) Click on Start-Settings and then Control Panel. Then
double click on Internet Options. Then click on General
Tab. Click on Setting.

If Win XP, then 1) Click on Start and then Control Panel.
Then double click on Internet Options. Then click on
General Tab. Click on Setting.

2) Click on View files Click on Edit/Select All. Click
Delete on the keyboard. Click Yes to delete the cookies.

3) Click Delete Files. Now Click on the X button which
will be on the top right hand of the screen in order to
close the Temporary Internet Files.

4) Click on OK. Click on Clear History. Click on Yes when
prompted in order to clear the history. Click on OK.

Here are the steps to lower down security level:

1) Open an Internet Explorer browser window by clicking on
blue "e" icon..

2) Click on "Tools" option which is on the top of Internet
Explorer window and then click on "Internet Option".

3) Click on "Security tab".

4) Then in the box that says Select a Web content zone to
specify security settings, click Internet Zone.

5) Click on "Default Level" tab.

6) Drag the Security slider to "Lower" level.
7) Click on "Apply" and "OK".

Here are the steps to delete host files from your
computer:-->

1) From the Start menu on your computer, click Search. (In
some versions of Windows®, you must click Find.)

2) Select All files and folders. (Some versions of Windows
list this option as Files or Folders.)

3) Type "hosts" (without quotation marks) in the file name
box and click Search. (Some versions of Windows list this
as Find Now.)

4) Once you locate the "hosts" file within your Windows or
WINNT directory, right click the file and click Delete.

Note :-- PLease delete all host file inculding lmhost file
from your computer, if you are unable to delete lmhost in
that case you have close all internet explorer browser and
then try to delete lmhost file.
