I want to view and download videos on my computer what must I do.

By download, do you mean transfer the video from your camcorder to your
computer ? If you have Windows ME, or windows XP, you can do this by using
the capture function of Movie Maker. To start Movie Maker, go to the start
menu, All programs, accessories, and click on MovieMaker.

You'll need a Firewire card (IEEE1394) in your computer if you do not have
one.
You also need a 1394 cable to connect the card to the camcorder.
Once you add the card, you plug the cable into the card and camcorder and
turn the camcorder to VCR mode, it will then be recognised by the computer.
